The Schools Periodical Service charges $9.00 in addition to a copyright fee of 10 cents per page for journal articles supplied. Articles are sourced, copied and posted by State Library staff. The $9.00 charge covers the costs associated with supplying articles whilst 10 cents per page is levied to meet copyright obligations.

Once you have logged in, you will be taken straight to the Search page. You can also reach the Search page from the navigation bar at the top of the page.

Basic searches using keywords can be conducted. Both upper or lower case keywords may be used, however correct spelling is essential for a successful search. The Advanced Search option allows users to search by title, author (of the VCE text or journal articles) and by VCE subject area.

If users wish to browse all articles on the database, no keyword or advanced searches should be entered. Simply press 'Search' and all article summaries on the database will be displayed.

As you choose the items you want to order place each item into Your Basket. You can do this at Search Results by clicking on the shopping trolley icon.

Your Basket shows all the items you've selected and includes a summary at the end. You can remove an item from Your Basket at any time.

When you want to proceed with the order, you must agree to the Terms and Conditions of Use and click Place Order. Please review all your order details and take note of the order number for future reference.

If payment is required, you will leave the site and be taken to a secure e-commerce payment facility, where you can pay by credit card.

Once your order is complete, the details can be found in Your Orders.

Your Orders also records any orders that you've made but are yet to be paid.

Cookies are small amounts of information stored on your computer by the Internet site you visit.

You must choose to accept the cookie when prompted, in order to log on to the Schools Periodical Service.

Please log on to the Schools Periodical Service again after changing the cookie setting.

• in Page Set Up, set the margins to zero or the smallest size allowed
• in Page Set Up, choose landscape instead of portrait
• in Page Set Up, choose 'shrink to fit' if that option is available.
• If the above techniques do not help, copy the web page (Control-A then Control-C) and paste it (Control-V) into Outlook or Outlook Express then save the email and print it.
